Must have a pre-employment health assessment which is updated bi-annually.
Must have Child Abuse, Criminal History and FBI clearances.
Must have letters of recommendation from non-family sources.
Must have training in child abuse recognition and prevention.
Must be certified in Pediatric First Aid, Fire Safety and Common Illnesses.
Must be trained annually in Child Observation to help them determine each child's individual needs.
Must complete additional hours of professional training beyond that required by law.
